2011 Fashion Trade Shows and Updated Trade Show Booths

Exhibitors are always trying to find new and exciting ways to update their trade show booths, and the 2011 Las Vegas trade show season is no exception. But instead of resorting to tired gimmicks like booth girls or cheesy giveaways, fashion forward exhibitors are retiring outdated ideas in favor of fashionable exhibit rentals.

If you're an exhibitor who has yet to try using an exhibit rental, the following tips will be helpful in determining whether or not to take the plunge.

Shows 2011

Attack of the Exhibit Display Clones

Exhibit rentals that are carbon copies of each other are embarrassing and a surefire way to lose potential customers. All too often, inexperienced exhibitors will hire equally inexperienced designers and end up paying too much money for a boring excuse for an exhibit display. Ask for a portfolio.

Rented Portable Booths Don't Mean Ugly Booths

A lot of this is due to the misconception that rented portable booths cannot be customized. When working with a good designer, nothing can be further from the truth. For talented designers, trade show booths are like skeletons or frames that can be added to fit the needs of numerous clients.

From mural graphics and tension fabric, to storage and lighting, the best exhibit display providers will be the one that offers a variety of options that can be adjusted to represent the design mission of any fashion house.

Don't Worry About Commitment to Your Display Booth

The best part about display booth rentals is that using them means no longer having to commit to a single design that will be outdated by next season. This of course saves money, but it also helps exhibitors stay on trend without having to waste time developing countless new exhibit displays.

Top Ten Things to Do in New York City

Day Trips in New York City

New York City remains at the heart of America's culture. New York City is the home of world famous theaters, clubs, museums, hotels, universities, and restaurants.

Best Broadway

New York, New York is the original 'City that Never Sleeps.' And with so much to do, who would want to sleep anyway?

The Big Apple receives at least 47 million visitors each year. Check below to see why New York remains the most populous city in America and one of the most popular places to visit in the world.

Below you will see the top ten reasons to visit New York City. In no particular order:

1) Statue of Liberty:
Let's get the obvious one out of the way first. In short, the Statue of Liberty is a global icon and one of many fine reasons to explore New York's waterways.

There are many options available. You can visit by yourself, but perhaps more enjoyable with a tour on Statue Cruises or Circle Line.

2) A Baseball Game:
Sure, Brazil's futbol fans are louder, but New York's baseball fans match that passion and add a jumbo size portion of attitude.

If you want to see New Yorkers at their best, (and worst, depending on how the game is going) visit Citi Field in Queens for the Mets (7 Train) or go up to the Bronx to see the most successful sports franchise in the world, the NY Yankees (4, B, D trains).

Check Major League Baseball for tickets.

Remember, there is nothing wrong with the cheap seats at a baseball game!

3) Metropolitan Museum of Art:
Regular entrance to The Met is by donation only, but special exhibits cost a few dollars. Either way, The Mets' treasures are priceless.

Some of the most striking objets d'art ever produced are on display. Don't forget to visit the relocated ancient Egyptian Temple of Dendur.

Situated on 5th Avenue and 81st Street, The Met is the crown jewel of New York's art Museums.

4) NYC Food Tours:
Take a food tour in New York! There are tons of great culinary adventures to be had in New York City, and it is hard to beat the personalities that you can sample on a New York food tours.

Some of the more interesting food tours are Scott's Pizza Tours, Foods of NY Tours, Famous Fat Dave's Food Tours, and Sweetwalks Chocolate Tours.

5) Watch Show Business in Action
One of the more unique tourist opportunities is to sit in the studio audience at a live television taping. These tickets are usually free, but unless you are lucky you must book at least a few weeks in advance.

Look into free tapings with The Daily Show, The Colbert Report, Saturday Night Live, and Late Night with David Letterman, etc.

Also, with so many movies being filmed in NYC, you may even luck into being a movie extra. Keep your eyes open!

6) Museums, Museums, Everywhere:
If you are not a museum person, New York still has a museum for you. Some of the excellent choices include The Museum of Natural History, The Guggenheim, the Museum of Modern Art, the Museum of The City of New York, The Immigrant's Museum, the American Indian Museum, and of course the aforementioned Metropolitan Museum of Art.

7) Bop Around Manhattan's Funky Neighborhoods
Little Italy is shrinking, Chinatown is growing, and the Lower East Side is less Jewish than before.

Those and other changes don't change the fact that these interesting neighborhoods are wonderful places to wander around and get lost.

And get lost you will. These streets are so old they are off the grid, which means, er, good luck!

But don't worry, getting lost also means meandering into curio shops, eating great food, and soaking in the atmosphere. Plus, the Tenement Museum at 108 Orchard is terrific too.

8) Sightseeing Tours
You may be lucky enough to live in New York. Or you may be lucky enough to have more than a few days. If you don't, you can cover lots of ground with high quality bus, bike, boat, taxi, walking, helicopter, or personalized guided tours.

There are too many neighborhoods to cover with a guidebook alone. A tour can offer you better bang for your buck, and a truer thrill for your time! Especially if you find yourself in a helicopter soaring over the Statue of Liberty!

9) Go to The Theater
There are so many great choices for entertainment, you don't have to worry if there will be 'something' playing. Instead, you have to worry about deciding between hundreds of amazing choices.

First, decide between Broadway, Off-Broadway, and Off-Off-Broadway.

Second, peruse local magazines and newspapers for reviews.

Third, buy your ticket. Discount tickets are sometimes available online, but always at TKTS Discount Booths. TKTS sells day of performance tickets at 47th and Broadway. Highly recommended to pay TKTS a visit if you want to save up to 50%.

Fourth, the easy part. Enjoy!

10) Go (Window) Shopping
Fifth Avenue in Manhattan is an upscale shopper's paradise. Filled with the most notable brands in the world, the area between 50th and 59th dazzle and amaze even seasoned shopping veterans.

Get a bit funkier in the East Village, especially on St Marks Place. Consider a walk from there across town on Bleeker Street to West 4th. Not bad areas to get lost.

Celebrities - Most Popular Broadway Stars

Broadway is unique. In most venues, TV, movies, radio, etc., we never really get to see our favorite celebrities up close and personal. But Broadway is different. Depending on how much money you dished out for tickets, you may end up just a few feet away from your favorite Broadway star. This is something that can't be equaled by any other medium of entertainment, excluding of course sports events. But to get a courtside seat to a Knicks game is going to cost you thousands of dollars. Few real people can afford that.

In the meantime, Broadway has certainly given us our share of popular stars. One needs to look no farther than Julie Andrews who originated the role of Eliza Doolittle in "My Fair Lady." Many people felt it was strange that she wasn't picked to do the movie version, especially since Audrey Hepburn couldn't even sing and had to have her vocals dubbed in. Certainly one of the strangest casting jobs in all of movie history.

Best Broadway Shows 2011

If you're looking for a more recent example, there is always Michael Crawford who originated the role of "The Phantom Of The Opera" in the early 80s. Crawford's portrayal was so incredible that he was actually named a living legend because of it. Nobody has since sung "Music Of The Night" like Crawford, a song that has been literally linked with him for all eternity.

If you need an even more recent example of two people who will forever be linked with a show, you need look no farther than Kristin Chenoweth and Idina Menzel who portrayed the good witch and the wicked witch respectively in the Broadway production of "Wicked." When it came time to hand out the Tony Awards for that year it was literally a toss up as to who was going to win between the two of them. Menzel ultimately ended up winning. It was said that these two were so perfect for their roles that there may never be anyone who comes close to pulling off a performance as great as the ones these two gave us.

And then of course there are the Broadway stars that transcend Broadway and grace just about every corner of stage and screen. There is no better example of this than Hugh Jackman who was simply brilliant in "The Boy From Oz" and "Oklahoma." Many of us also know him as Wolverine in the "X-Men" series of movies. Jackman is probably one of the most popular performers on stage today.

The list, of course goes on and on. There's currently Sara Ramirez and Christopher Sieber of "Spamalot," a Monty Python goof that is probably one of the funniest plays to come out in a very long time that mixes comedy with some of the best, and most hysterical, music around. Just one listen to "The Song That Goes Like This" is all you need to realize that Ramirez and Sieber are pure comic and musical geniuses.

And just think of it. These are people who you can actually see live.

It doesn't get any better than that.

2011 Tax Deduction for Homeowners - 4 Tips for 2011 Homeowner Tax Deduction

2011 Tax Deduction for Homeowners is a great way to save money in year 2011. If a taxpayer understands the benefits of home ownership they might decide to own a home instead of continuously paying down payment to a rental apartment.

If you own a house, here's the steps on how to claim maximum Tax deduction for homeowners in 2011.

Shows 2011

The deductions can be made by reducing the real estate taxes you paid in accordance to the assessment value of your property and if the local government has similar rating to its value. The public must have gained benefits from taxes they paid and not only for individuals or community. Whenever you have first or second homeowner mortgage, home equity loan, and home improvement loan in 2011 you can deduct from taxes all the interest you paid for this loan as long you are using this home as your main or secondary residence. Never deduct payments you have made from your real estate escrow account because your lender can present annual information of your payments that can show the actual amount you paid for it and can deduct to your federal income taxes. This is important point you must remember when doing Homeowner Deductions from your 2011 Tax return. A lot of people make this mistake. No Trip To New York Is Complete Without a Trip To A Broadway Show

The English dramatist, Oscar Wilde, once said: "I regard theatre as the greatest of all art forms, the most immediate way in which a human being can share with another the sense of what it is to be a human being." And it is largely due to this tangible sense of human connection that has contributed to the longevity and development of theatre and the theatrical scene across the world. In the US for example, there are many dramatic pieces of theatre staged under the collective and famous name of 'Broadway'. With shows being performed in many professional theatres, Broadway, located in the Manhattan borough of New York, is considered the highest form of professional theatre; appealing to mass audiences whilst promising to deliver high quality entertainment.

If you're visiting New York, make sure Broadway is on your itinerary. Broadway musicals can run for a number of weeks; so, while tickets may sell quickly, your opportunity to watch the stage play of your choice is prolonged. Currently, the longest running Broadway musical ever is Andrew Lloyd Webber's "Phantom of the Opera", which has appeared at the Majestic Theatre since 1988, for 7486 performances - overtaking the previous record of "Cats", also by Lloyd Webber.

Best Broadway Shows 2011

Some of the classic productions that are currently running on Broadway are "Chicago" at the Ambassador Theatre, "The Producers" at the St. James Theatre and "Les Miserables" at the George Broadhurst Theatre on 44th Street. However, the last decade has seen a change in the tide regarding the way Broadway theatre is made, and the current run of productions on Broadway includes stage adaptations of many books and films. These include Mary Poppins at the New Amsterdam Theatre on 42nd Street, the adaptation of Nick Hornby's "High Fidelity", which has just opened at the Imperial Theatre, and the upcoming "Legally Blonde: The Musical", based on the hit film which starred actress Reese Witherspoon, and is set to open in April 2007.

Tourists visiting New York will be able to buy tickets for a Broadway show from a variety of locations, including the TKTS booth in Duffy Square, which sells same-day tickets for many Broadway (and off-Broadway) shows at half-price rates. This means that people who are keen to take in as much of Broadway as possible on their trip to New York can do so at a more affordable rate. Additionally, many Broadway theatres will offer special student tickets as well as standing-only tickets to ensure that as many people as possible can appreciate the delights of a Broadway show.

No Trip To New York Is Complete Without a Trip To A Broadway Show

However, it's easy to feel overwhelmed when you have so much to choose from; that's why many of the excellent hotels in New York operate a Theatre Desk. Guests can obtain detailed guidance on what's on at any particular time or at any particular theatre. So take a trip to Broadway and experience a selection of the best stage plays in the USA: you'll feel the deep sense of human connection that Oscar Wilde was talking about all those years ago.

How Foreclosure Statistics Could Affect Bankruptcy in Vancouver, Washington

Though the Columbian newspaper has reported that foreclosures statewide, Clark County (which includes Vancouver, WA) remains fourth in the state for number of foreclosures, and fifth in the state for percentage of homes in foreclosure. Cite: Foreclosures decline in Clark County, The Columbian, July 14, 2011. Foreclosure statistics from the real estate and foreclosure website Realty Trac show that foreclosures in Clark County and Vancouver, Washington remain high.

The Columbian article notes that foreclosures are down thirty-five percent from the same time last year. However, the Realty Trac data that the Columbian cites, still shows that some 248 homes are in some state of foreclosure in Clark County, which is much more sparsely populated than King and Snohomish Counties to the north. In gross numbers, the three largest counties in Washington (King, Snohomish and Pierce) have the most homes in foreclosure by a wide margin. Those same counties also lead in terms of percentage of homes in foreclosure, but Clark County is much closer in terms of percentage of homes in foreclosure. The most recent data from Realty Trac shows that one in 659 homes in Clark County are in some stage of foreclosure. This is in comparison to Pacific County (one in 619), Pierce County (one in 474), King County (one in 459) and Snohomish County (one in 351).

Best Broadway Shows 2011

The high rate of foreclosures in Clark County may precipitate more new case filings in the Vancouver, Washington Bankruptcy Court. Foreclosures can be an indicator of many different economic influences, including dropping home prices, anemic home sales, tight credit markets, difficulty refinancing mortgages, and more generalized economic factors, such as unemployment. If homeowners are unable to keep up with mortgage payments, they may seek out protection by filing a voluntary bankruptcy petition, and discharging their debts.

In bankruptcy, the debtor can take actions that can further exacerbate the weakness in the housing markets, thereby precipitating more foreclosures. For example, in bankruptcy, the debtor has the option of continuing to pay mortgage payments or abandoning their home and discontinuing the mortgage. If the debtor chooses the latter, another home comes onto the market to be sold by the trustee, thereby increasing supply of homes, with a comparatively lower incentive to recover top dollar on the sale.

If the debtor files a Chapter 13 repayment plan, the debtor may be able to void a second mortgage (also referred to as lien stripping). In this scenario, the consumer may keep making payments on the first mortgage, but if the fair market value of the home is less than the amount owing on the first mortgage, the bankruptcy judge may void the lien held by the second mortgage, and then discharge the second mortgage as a unsecured debt. This can be perceived as a major benefit of filing bankruptcy, particularly in Vancouver, where home prices have fallen precipitously.

In summary, recent housing statistics indicate that foreclosures are fewer in number this year from the same time last year. The Columbian notes that the cause is not yet known. Whether fewer homeowners are falling into default, or whether mortgage lenders are not initiating new foreclosure proceedings due to a backlog of mortgages in arrears. In either case, the likelihood of a large number of foreclosures can significantly impact the number of Vancouver, Washington bankruptcy filings in the next year.

Dirty Dancing Comes To London

Adapted from the film Dirty Dancing in 1987 the Musical has become very successful. Since the movie had such a hard hitting soundtrack the creator of the film, Eleanor Bergstein developed the screen play into a Broadway musical type production.

Eleanor Bergstein wrote the original film and story which became a hit movie in 1987. The story revolves around two people, Johnny Castle and Frances houseman a teenager on holiday with her family during the summer in the Catskill Mountains. The story is a coming of age story between the two teens. Johnny, a teen from the other side of the tracks and Frances a daughter of a doctor gradually falls in love during the family the summer vacation at a well to do summer resort. Frances or Baby, gets bored of the resort activities but discovers dancing and Johnny while at a late night resort staff party. The musical keeps all the magical moments of the film and expands on the relationship of the main characters. In addition, the musical adds more dance numbers and songs to the story.

Best Broadway Shows 2011

James Powell director in London and Kate Champion the choreographer recently brought the hit production to the United States after a record showing in London. The production of Dirty Dancing currently plays at the Aldwych Theatre. It has played at the Aldwych Theatre in London on the West End since 2006 to record breaking audiences.

Eleanor Bergstein loves to dance. In truth she based the movie on her own life. She is the character "Baby/Frances" in the story. As a teen she actually did participate in "Dirty Dance" competitions in the Catskills. Her father really was a doctor in real life. She wrote the film because of her passion for dancing. After the success of the movie she made plans to expand her vision by writing the stage musical too. She felt that she could feel the dancing from the film and imagined the dancing coming into the theatres through the screen so she felt that live theatre would be the perfect vehicle to accomplish this.

Since 2008 over 350,000 viewers have viewed the London hit. The show has broken records in London and Germany for having the highest advance ticket sales in history. Before it even opened in London, the show sold out for six months, Dirty Dancing theatre tickets were impossible to get!

The cast of 35 sing 55 songs and do 73 scene changes during the production. Baby herself makes 22 costume changes.

In the movie the lead roles are played by Patrick Swayze and Jennifer Grey. The current Baby is being played by Hannah Vassallo with Johnny Wright playing Johnny Castle.

Tracking the Killer: the Mentalist TV Show

The charm of mystery stories, leaving clues and hints to audiences before finally revealing who the killer is goes before even television. Some theaters run plays solely on this kind of story, where the audience is asked not to give details about the ending in order to not spoil the experience to future audiences. Books and short stories of this genre not only entertain but give the reader a sense of involvement in the progress of the plot. In the same vein, the Mentalist dwells on the success of this kind of story progression and if the ratings are any indication, appears to be working very well.

An independent consultant with the CBI or California Bureau of Investigation has an outstanding record for solving serious crimes. Undoubtedly attributed to his keen sense of observation, but he also frequently uses his mentalist abilities to get into the minds of witnesses and suspects in getting the facts of the actual case. Patrick Jane is resisted by Senior Agent Teresa Lisbon for falling into her unit, however recognized his usefulness is. Jane is seen as an attention-getter, with no regard for safety and boundaries. Everyone in the team acknowledge Jane as both a loose cannon and having a knack for solving cases. With the pilot episode garnering 15.6 million viewers in the first airing and 7.8 million re-airing it three days after, the Mentalist TV show is sure to remain in broadcast. The season also introduced some of Patrick Jane's back story. His wife and daughter were murdered five years before the start of the series by a serial killer only known as "Red John." Most probably, this is why all the episode titles have the word red in them.

Shows 2011

Though psychics do generate interest in itself, and can very well be an element of a successful television series but rarely is it involved in a television drama series. A show based on someone who can accurately predict what is going to happen in the entire episode tends to get tiring and repetitive. It is just like having a character with complete access to the day's script.

However, the success of the Mentalist TV show relies not only on the fact that the lead character wields psychic abilities but more of the ability to have the cases solved using powers of observation. Having a case or problem solved by using something that anybody can employ has a factor that keeps spectators wanting to see more. People don't want to be treated as fools, nor do they want to watch something short of a scientific or medical discourse. This is still entertainment, but modern televiewers are a harder audience compared to before where silly visual effects are enough to amaze and dazzle. Add to this the fact that the main character, with all his powers, cannot still find the person who murdered his family. This concept of having supernatural abilities and at the same time, having limitations imposed specifically on humans evokes the mysteriousness and humanity of the series. The Mentalist TV show has assured its stay on television broadcasts for seasons to come.

Signs Of True Love - Does He Show These Signs?

Do wonder what the signs of true love look like? Have you wondered if your boyfriend is in love with you? Do you think he might be in love with you but he has never said those words to you directly? If you are falling in love with your boyfriend, you surely want to know what his feelings are for you. Here are some of the signs to look for.

Is He Showing You Off?

Shows 2011

When guys are getting serious feelings for their girlfriend, they want to show her off to their family and closest friends. There are two reasons they do this. First, they are proud of her and want the world to see her. Second, they want to get a "reading" back from their friends and family to see if they approve of her and he wants their feedback.

Does He Go Out of His Way to Make You Happy?

Does your boyfriend pay attention to your emotional well being? Does he notice and care about what kind of day you are having? Does he check in with you from time to time just to see how your day is going? Does he do simple unexpected things like bring you a flower, pick up a candy bar for you or an energy drink without you asking for it? Is he considerate about what you like to do and where you like to go? If he is consistent with this kind of behavior and wants nothing in return but your happiness, then you are on his mind and in his heart.

Are You His Exclusive?

Has he made it clear that you are the only one for him? Is he committed to your relationship and truly not interested in seeing others? If your boyfriend loves you then he isn't interested in dating others and he won't have the wandering eyes of a guy who still hasn't made up his mind about whether you are his exclusive girl.

Does He Make You His First Priority?

You can expect that even if your boyfriend is in love with you he will still have things that he wants to do that may not always include you. However, if he is in love, you will be his first priority. If there is a conflict between what he wants to do that doesn't include you and an activity that is extremely important to you, he will usually sacrifice his own needs to help meet yours. This is not always the case, but if he is in love and is willing to do this without major complaints, then it is a pretty good sign that he is in love with you

Is He Available to You?

When someone is in love, they usually will make themselves available. Even if he is in a meeting or busy doing something else, if you call and leave a message you will be a priority and he will do his best to get back in touch with you at his earliest opportunity. You will be high on his list of people to stay in touch with and if he is head over heels in love you will be his absolute highest priority.

Sometimes guys will say they love a woman because they feel obligated to say it or because they want something from her - usually sex. However, you should gauge your boyfriend's feelings for you by his actions more than his words. Because of how guys are socialized, some have a difficult time expressing their true feelings in words. So, look for the signs of true love in his actions because that is what really counts in the end anyway.

Easy Ways to Show Your Husband You Care

Ladies, I know we husbands can be difficult. OK, we can be downright unbearable sometimes! Yet, most of us want to be the best husbands, fathers, lovers, and friends that we can possibly be.

I have a counselor friend who says "If you want friends, be friendly". I'm stealing that phrase for marriage - "If you want a lover, be a lover." "If you want a friend, be a friend." "If you want to be encouraged, be an encourager!"

Shows 2011

Take those phrases to heart as you go through this list of 51 tips to help encourage your husband to be the best for you and your marriage!

Build him up in front of your friends. Build him up in front of his friends. Iron his clothes for him. Don't nag when he messes up, or hasn't performed up to your expectations. Initiate sex without him having to ask. Leave notes for him in his drawers. Leave notes for him in his car. Send him messages via text or email during the day. Compliment him on a job well done. Massage his back or neck. Love and appreciate him before he gets it right. Look into his eyes as he speaks. Never bad mouth him to your kids. Begin to try and understand (maybe enjoy) the things he enjoys - like sports, cars or hunting! Don't rub it in his face when you are right, and he is wrong. Even if the "Big Game" bores you, or you just "don't get it" - sit and watch with him. Encourage him in his dreams. Tell him you believe in him. Tell him he is a great father. Tell him he is a great lover. Tell him he is your best friend. Show up at his office in nothing but an overcoat. (Ok, maybe you can't do that one too easily, but you could...) Show up at his office with a gift that others would be able to notice on his desk. Probably not flowers - but maybe a cool framed pic of the two of you? Continue to learn about your husbands likes and dislikes, wants, and desires. Listen to him when he talks. Make your bedroom a safe haven both of you can enjoy. Tell him what is on your mind - if he is up for it! Bubble Bath. Shower with him. Use two words: "I'm Sorry". Use three words: "I love You". Use four words: "I respect you honey". Use five words: "How about a blow job?" Use six words: "I love you more each day". Use seven words: "I think you are SO SEXY honey!". Use eight words: "God has blessed me with a great husband!" Cook Dinner and eat it by candlelight. Be dessert. When he gets home from work - meet him at the door with a smile and a kiss. Let him enjoy time with his friends. Enjoy looking good for him. Be quick to apologize when you mess up. Never compare him with an ex husband or lover. Touch him more often. Smile at him. Kiss him passionately as he walks out the door. Learn about his work. Love him unconditionally. Buy him his favorite: cigar, candy, drink, toy...etc! Take him to a lingerie store and let him pick what he likes on you. Write down the things you love about him. Send it as a letter, or read it to him in bed.

I know a list like this can be daunting. I would encourage you though to print it off, highlight the ones you would like to try, and implement one or two into your life. Then, after a bit, try another couple. I'd love to hear what happens in your marriage!

There are two main issues with this virus - it will try and steal your passwords from any unsecured Internet access you make, as well as continually showing you false antivirus results in an attempt to get you to buy the fake upgrade to the program. Best Museums in New York: New Museum of Contemporary Art

Like the Whitney Museum, the New Museum of Contemporary Art is dedicated to innovation and newness in art. Unlike the Whitney, however, the New Museum expresses that dedication by focusing specifically on contemporary art rather than on the notion of "avant-garde." If you're interested in catching the work of emerging artists working on fascinating new projects the New Museum might be your ideal location to visit. Housed in a new building, which according to the architects was designed to make the shape of the interior transparent, this New York Museum has been noted by visitors and critics for the quality of light inside due to windows in unusual locations. This museum was founded in 1977, when it was the only museum of all on the New York museums list to focus on contemporary art. Over the past few years in existence at its location in the hip, artistic neighborhood of the Bowery, the New Museum New York has begun the careers of artists from countries all over the world.

Located at the heart of the Bowery, the New Museum New York is situated among a number of small galleries, museums, art house cafes and little stores in this (admittedly gentrifying) creative neighborhood. Even if it may not be affordable for most to live in any more, the Bowery nevertheless is home to a variety of fascinating locales. From the haunted Merchant House Museum to the Lower East Side Tenement Museum just around the corner, and other interesting neighborhoods in the area, visitors to this area are sure to find something interesting to do before and after their museum visit. Additionally, shopping at nearby South Broadway in SoHo provides a fun opportunity to get away from the contemporary art scene and into the contemporary fashion world. Trains to the New Museum are numerous, but the best one to take would be the J into the Bowery stop. However, other train stops near the New Museum are at Prince St., 2nd Ave - Lower East Side, Broadway-Lafayette, Grand St and Spring Street-Lexington. The lines serving these stops are the B, D, F, M, N, R, 4 and 6, so there are plenty of options for train travel to this New York museum.

Best Broadway

As for the works of art you can see at the New Museum, the museum has hosted wonderful exhibits of contemporary art from all over the world. In the past 5 years the New Museum has exhibited art from more than countries from all corners of the earth. The wide variety make it a good chance that there is at least something that you'll like here. If you are a fan of modern or conceptual art, you are to find the New Museum to be a worthwhile experience. The radical sculptures, paintings, and mixed media work showcased here is sure to be interesting and informative.

Because it is solely focused on showing contemporary artists, the New Museum New York is unlike many New York museums in that it doesn't have a permanent collection. It is, like its seven-story architecture would suggest, simply a luminous space for the always changing pieces of art created by artists working today. At any given time, thousands of these works may inhabit the space of the New Museum. Because the galleries and exhibitions are always in flux, the New Museum is unlike any other museums in New York City in that you can always come back to see what's new.

We encourage visitors of the New Museum of Contemporary Art to share their reviews, photos and videos of the museum with the broader NYC Museums community. The New Museum, more than any other on our New York museums list, is designed to spark conversation. So respond, then post your response at NYC Museums! We welcome any thoughts and feelings you might have toward a particular exhibit. Everything you share on NYC Museums helps our community enjoy the arts and culture of New York City, so share your content and help us add to the NYC Museums community.
